Choose an area with lots of light if possible.
Use wipeable wall paint. Choose a color that can be easily replicated to ensure easy touch ups.
Consider using magnetic primer to create an area to hang artwork with magnets.
Don’t invest in fancy furnishings. Choosing secondhand tables and chairs means you won’t stress when paint splashes everywhere.
Put up shelves for “projects in the works”.
Use bins and buckets to store art materials.
Best art supplies to have on hand: primary color and black and white paints; found objects like buttons, old cereal boxes and dryer lint; and a squeegee for easy table cleaning.
